JUST A BUNCH OF NXBODIES DOING NXTHING.

artist collective 2

Nxwhere California started with an abandoned desert cabin and a group of friends looking for an escape from the modern urban hellscape. It quickly became a gathering place for artists of all kinds. Under the blank canvas of the desert of Joshua Tree, we feed off of each other’s momentum; creating, partying, riding, and just doing nothing at all.

WE ARE INVITING

the world’s writers, painters, musicians, sculptors, machinists, filmmakers, agitators, dancers, designers & nappers

TO LOSE THEMSELVES AND BECOME NXBODY.

Wild things CAN happen when a bunch of nxbodies get together.

The original cabin turned into 7 unique venues. The original 5 acres somehow became 100.

Amazing artists from all over the world has created a coffee shop, a live music venue, a line of custom motorcycles, an apparel brand, riding gear and a retail shop to house it all.

This strange little idea has become a thriving creative community.

Gertrude Stein’s apartment. The year 1925.

Every Saturday evening you could find Gertrude dressed in brown corduroy sitting in her chair. To her right and left sat Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, James Joyce, Ezra Pound, and countless others. Naming themselves “The Lost Generation”, they fed off of each other’s energy and creativity.

They gathered at Gertrude’s invitation to read each other’s works, inspire each other, and develop huge ideas that would forever change the world. The people under Gertrude’s roof were far more together than they ever could’ve been separately.

We are recreating Gertrude’s apartment in the desert of Joshua Tree.
